1. Introduction & Scope

1.1 This Privacy Policy governs the collection, use, disclosure, and protection of personal information in connection with use of the Fixer Station managed marketplace platform (the “Platform”).

1.2 Fixer Station operates a technology-enabled marketplace that connects independent service providers (“Fixers”) with commercial and residential clients (“Clients”).

1.3 By accessing the Platform, creating an account, or electronically accepting this Policy, User acknowledges and agrees to the terms contained herein.

2. Categories of Information Collected

2.1 Information Provided by Users

We may collect:
  • (a) full name
  • (b) email address
  • (c) telephone number
  • (d) business details (if applicable)
  • (e) service location information
  • (f) communications and chat messages
  • (g) uploaded documentation
  • (h) work authorization documents (Fixers)
  • (i) tax information processed via QuickBooks

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

We may collect:
  • (a) IP address
  • (b) device type
  • (c) browser type
  • (d) log files and timestamps
  • (e) usage metadata

2.3 Fixer Station does not directly store full credit card numbers, Social Security numbers, or driver’s license numbers.

3. Use of Information
3.1 Information may be used to:
  • (a) facilitate marketplace transactions
  • (b) process payments
  • (c) administer background screenings
  • (d) maintain tax compliance
  • (e) generate invoices and estimates
  • (f) improve Platform functionality
  • (g) comply with legal obligations
4. AI & Automated Processing Disclosure
4.1 Fixer Station may use artificial intelligence tools to:
  • (a) generate job summaries
  • (b) refine invoice descriptions
  • (c) estimate service cost ranges
  • (d) review job photos for quality control
  • (e) detect incomplete documentation

4.2 AI tools assist administrative functions only. Final billing and service determinations remain subject to human oversight.

4.3 No automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects are made without human review.

5. Marketplace Data Sharing

5.1 Client information necessary to complete a job may be shared with the assigned Fixer.

5.2 Fixer profile information may be shared with Clients upon job acceptance.

5.3 Fixers operate as independent contractors and are separate business entities.

6. Payment Processing & Financial Data

6.1 All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. (“Stripe”).

6.2 Fixer Station does not store full credit card information on its servers.

6.3 QuickBooks Online is used for accounting, invoicing, W-9 collection, and 1099 reporting.

7. Background Checks & Screening

7.1 Fixer Station utilizes Checkr, Inc. (“Checkr”) for background screenings of Fixers.

7.2 Background checks are conducted in compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”) and applicable state laws.

7.3 Separate disclosures and authorizations are provided during onboarding.

8. Data Security & Infrastructure

8.1 The Platform is hosted on DigitalOcean infrastructure.

8.2 Fixer Station implements commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards.

8.3 No system is completely secure; absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

9. Data Retention

9.1 Personal information is retained:

  • (a) while accounts remain active
  • (b) as required for tax and accounting compliance
  • (c) as required by contract or law
  • (d) as necessary to resolve disputes
10. Children’s & Daycare Privacy

10.1 The Platform is not directed to children under thirteen (13).

10.2 Fixers are instructed not to photograph children during service documentation.

10.3 If child-related data is inadvertently collected, it will be removed upon notice.

11. Marketing & Photo Usage

11.1 Fixer Station may use anonymized job photos for marketing purposes.

11.2 Identifiable personal information will not be used without consent.

12. State Privacy Rights

12.1 Residents of certain states, including Colorado and Illinois, may have rights to:

  • (a) request access
  • (b) request correction
  • (c) request deletion
  • (d) request data portability
  • (e) object to certain processing

12.2 Requests must be submitted through the Company contact form and may require identity verification.

13. Business Transfers

13.1 In the event of merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of the transaction.

14. Dispute Resolution

14.1 Privacy-related disputes are governed by the dispute resolution provisions contained in the applicable Client Platform Services Agreement or Independent Service Provider Agreement, including arbitration provisions where applicable.

15. Updates to This Policy

15.1 Fixer Station may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

15.2 The updated version will be posted with a revised “Last Updated” date.
